Lacey was tired of hanging with her sister, Bianca, and needed a break from life in general. Her favorite way to do that? Duh, shopping. She grabbed her purse and headed out, going straight to her favorite little boutique. It was a small place, owned by two women in their thirties that designed everything and had a small group of employees to help them make the outfits. It was kind of expensive, but Lacey was in love with the shop.
She first stopped to get a soda, a large Dr. Pepper, and stopped out on the saidewalk to finish it before she went in, as they didn't allow drinks in the store, to big of a chance that something would get ruined. Lacey tossed her hair over her shoulder as she sucked up the last of the soda, watching all the people around her. It was a beautiful day and Lacey couldn't ask for anything better.
She finished the soda and tossed the cup in the trash before pushing open the door to the shop and started walking around to find something she liked.

Bridget was browsing the racks in an old boutique. She was bored to death, and she needed some retail therapy. He best friend Charity was busy, and she was sick of seeing her brother, the 'daredevil', attempt to kill himself again and again. She picked up what looked like a....boot? A wave of dust hit her face and she started coughing. Moving away from the part of the store that nobody bought things from anymore, she thought she saw her cousin, Lacey. She knew that Lacey liked to shop in the funky stores downtown, like the one Bridget was currently in. Bridget pulled her sunglasses off, and put them in her leather bag. She had a sudden craving for a cup of Stars' Coffee. Pulling her hair into a low side pony tail, she walked over to a rack of clothes that looked cute, and like they weren't coverd in dust. --- Notes: Bridget's Outfit

Lacey picked up a dress and held it up to her body. She looked down at it and after a moment nodded, draping the dress over her arm and moved onto another rack. She looked over her shoulder to see if there was anyone else in the store and stopped when she saw Bridget. Of all the people Lacey had expected to see Bridget was not one of them.
Lacey walked over and smiled at her cousin, half looking at the rack Bridget was going through. "Hey Bridget." She said. She knew her parents would get mad if they found out she had seen Bridget nd basically ignored her, so, to keep from starting even more drama in the Kerrigan-Chandler family. "How are you?" she asked, reaching up to play with her necklace.

"Bored. You look surprised. Yeah, I know I'm not the first person you'd expect to come here, but I was bored and needed some retail therapy," Bridget replied, blowing her bangs out of her eyes. Bridget was the type of person to hang out at a book store, more than an old clothing store but, to quote her mother, she was supposed to be 'extending her horizons'. Bridget didn't add the last part, or the fact that she had a suspicion her mother was on crack...again. Bridget picked up a vintage shirt and held it up to herself. It wasn't really Bridget's style, but she sort of liked it. It said something in French, and Bridget hoped it didn't say something like 'I'm an Idiot'. I should've paid attention in French class, Bridget mused to herself as she contuined looking through the rack of clothing. Bee's Shirt Here.

Lacey nodded slowly, thinking about it as she pulled out a shirt, and made a face, putting it back. "Well I know you usually go to bookstores and whatnot. Isn't that your retail therapy?" She asked. She really only knew what her aunt talked about, and lacey made a point of talking her her family on a regular basis. She pulled out a ruffled top and held it up against her self, looking in a nearby mirror and nodded, adrabing it over the dress.
She moved another rack over before looking back at Bridget. "And how's the family?" She needed to remember to call her aunt, she also needed to call her grandmother but that was another story for another day. She tucked her hair behind her ear and looked at a silk printed scarf.

"Well, mother wants me to 'extend my horizions,'if that tells you anything at all about how she is," Bridget said, admiring a pretty beaded dress. "And she removed my store credit from Tattered Pages. So I can't go there. God, I wish this town had a libary," She said, picking up a box that held a pair of vintage cowboy boots.
Picking up one of the heavy boots, she glanced at the proce tag. Five thousand dollars. She placed the boot back before something happened to it. Bridget most certainly was not paying that much for a stupid pair of boots. The smell of vanilla clung the air as another lady walked past her. Gee, did you take a bath in perfume, lady? Bridget thought, wrinkling her nose.

Lacey smiled and shook her head. "Not sure how shopping in a differenct store is expanding horizons. Isn't reading in general expanding your mind and opening you up to new ideas? Thus expanding horizons?" Lacey wasn't dumb, she just held no interest in acedemics, moments like this proved that. She picked up a blood red dress that looked like it came straight out of forties. It was kind of loose at the top but tighter around the bottom of the legs, ending just below the knees.
"Ooh I like this." She muttered, When the woman walked by she clapped a hand over her mouth, trying to hide her cough. She'd gotten to big of a whiff and it was over whelming. She coudln't stop herself from coughing and turned away, coughing into the crook of her elbow. When she was done she pushed her hair out of her face and clear her throat. "Sorry about that." She said to no one in particular.

Bridget couldn't help but giggling at Lacey, when she did the whole coughing scene. Bridget picked up a pair of faded, stonewashed jeans, and said "Oooh, me likey." She held them up to herself, and looked into a slightly dusty full length mirror. With the shirt she was going to buy, they would look great. Now she just needed some shoes and acessories.
Picking up a dress that had pearls sewn into it, Bridget held it up to herself. The dress was immensely gorgeous, and it would look great on her. "Lace, what d'ya think?" Bridget asked her cousin, twirling around. Bridget didn't bother looking at the price tag, she knew it was expensive but hey, when you find the perfect dress, you have to buy it, right? Bridget couldn't help but feeling giddy, the dress was possibly the prettiest dress she'd ever seen.

Lacey smiled over her shoulder at Bridget and shook her head. "They should forbid over perfuming in public areas like the did to smoking." She joked, speaking softly enough that the woman wouldn't hear. She nodded at the three outfits she had, offically done in this store. She turned to tell Bridget she was going, but she spoke first.
"Ooh I like that. It's cute." Lacey said honestly. She loved this store for just that reason, it had some of the cutest clothes on the planet. She thought about it a moment before adding, "Hey do you want to go to Stars for coffee or somthing?" She asked. She didn't really want to be alone, and figured it was only polite.

Bridget smiled. "Sure. I have this weird craving for coffee and fried pickles," She said, with the last part totally random. Walking over to the checkout counter, Bridget got her shiny silver credit card, to pay for the dress. Unfortunately, the lady with too much perfume was standing by the checkout counter, so Bridget had to hold her breath.
Bridget watched the clerk as she rang up the dress, jeans, and top. She hadn't bothered checking how much the total was. Grabbing the bag that held her clothes, she moved away from the checkout counter before she passed out from not breathing. Standing by the door, she took a deep breath of non-perfume scented air.

Lacey handed over her items and waited as the lady rung it up. She was doing her best not to breathe in. Otherwise she'd start coughing again, and the last thing she needed was to cough up a lung in front of this woman. She handed over the gold card and looked at Bridget. "Coffee and fried pickles? Are you like Pregnant or something?" She joked. taking the bag with a thank you.
She headed out of the store, holding the door open for Bridget. She walked down towards the coffee shop, crossing her arms over her chest. She walked with her head held high and looking like she was royalty. She swept her hair over her shoulder and continued to walk. she had a air about her that had people stopping to look as she walked by, not just because she was pretty, but because she looked like someone very important, and, with her mother and father, she kind of was.
